Anita Gabrielle releases the radiant EP ‘Just Neat’ to help research into Parkinson’s Disease

Anita Gabrielle has been making folk music since the late 1960s, when her brother Michael introduced her to the powerful sounds of Joni Mitchell.

Her talent blended with her supreme work ethic saw her achieve national coverage in the 1980s with her band The Crew. She has also supported seminal artists such as Divine and Labi Siffre.

Anita has always strived to have a broad musical pallet. She has incorporated acoustic rock and pop into her music through her collaborations with artists like ZeNaNa and The Favourite Aunties.

However, ever since her brother was tragically diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease last year, Anita has made it her primary mission to enhance research into the disease through her latest EP ‘Just Neat’.

This EP is comprised of 6 wonderful tracks that were materialised during lockdown, with the intention of raising funds for Parkinson’s disease research. The EP’s leading single ‘Best Friends’ is a soothing experience fronted by Anita’s ethereal vocals, tranquil guitar licks and piano riffs.

‘Just Neat’ also saw Anita get the incredible chance to work with Grammy award winning Amy Wadge, who has previously collaborated with Ed Sheeran. Amy’s gentle vocals and her innate ability on the piano serve as a valuable addition to EP’s sound.

Anita says of Amy:

“Obviously, I was absolutely thrilled to be supported by someone with the credentials of an artist like Amy, who not only has worked with Ed Sheeran but many other major artists such as Camila Cabello and Lady
Antebellum too”

Anita is also a dedicated campaigner for older women’s rights and LGBTQ+ issues, humorously describing herself as a ‘dyke in a hat’.

if that’s not enough, Anita has recently fought off a cancer scare, with the removal of a kidney and hip replacement; her burning desire and enthusiasm for life is evident in her wonderfully melodic songs. Go and check out ‘Just Neat’ if you haven’t already!

All money will go to Parkinson’s research and Anita has also set up a Just Giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/anita-gabrielle

James Fox’s upcoming single ‘The Rest of Our Lives’ is an ode to recovering from addiction

Welsh singer-songwriter James Fox’s upcoming single – set for release on January 29th – commemorates his escape from an all-consuming gambling addiction.

His recovery through music allows him to offer hope to others in similar positions, as he continues to thrive at what he loves.

In James Fox’s words on the writing of the track:

This is a feel-good, guitar-driven love song, that speaks of new beginnings, love, hope and making plans for the future, something I think can resonate with all of us just now.”

‘All The Fours’, the album from which the track comes from, gives influences of rock, country, blues, and folk. To say the least, it encompasses a collection of thought-proving tunes that bubbles with diversity.

Fox plays every instrument himself, except the drums for which he recruited long-time friend Mike Sorrentino. Fox also wrote the songs within lockdown, making use of a time of reflection and worldwide standstill.

Anthony Tullo and his new country-rock single ‘Borderline’

New single out June 15th

PRimage

Based in Ontario, Canada, Anthony Tullo is a country-rock singer-songwriter who is looking to take on the UK music industry with new single ‘Borderline’. It’s a very promising year for an artist whose old school style has been compared to the classic likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Melencamp, Bob Segar, Bryan Adams and others, but with an decidedly contemporary edge. Riding the current worldwide wave of roots, country and folk music, Anthony Tullo is an artist who is here to stay.

Hugely creative and multi-talented, Anthony is returning to the music industry after some years away from the business,  first deciding to pursue his song writing again when a self-written soundtrack to his own independent film captured attention. The movie itself went on to win awards in Canada and is now available globally online, while the result of his renewed song writing confidence in the stellar new rock single ‘Borderline’.

Revered by critics, radio and writers in his native Canada, and also invited to play some of the country’s most prestigious venues, Anthony Tullo’s reputation is already cemented and still growing on the other side of the Atlantic.

His first chance to break into the industry saw Anthony catch the eye of a notoriously difficult to please A&R at Warners over a decade ago, but his progress was halted by the tragic events of Sepember 11th, 2001 in New York. Following that day, the promising start to his career was halted by a label who (understandably) had other priorities, leading to Anthony Tullo leaving the industry for a time.

But now he’s back, a self-made musician with a point to prove. And if anyone disagrees with him, they should probably know one more thing – he funds his music career by competing and training others in the arts of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

This is one independent artist who needs to be taken seriously – in every sense.

Sweet Review of These Raven Skies

TRS Cover Art HQ

The talented, hard-rock Canadian band These Raven Skies have smashed their way into music with their fearless album named after the band. ‘No Need To Worry’ is a classic rave tune, enjoyable and strong, perfect for heavy rock fans worldwide. The song demonstrates the bands’ confident talent to play phenomenal guitar solos and produce excellent acoustic underlay’s, as well as singing about the topic of chaos, things that make them so popular. Famous Jeff Martin from The Tea Party inspired and featured in ‘No Need To Worry’, showing that These Raven Skies have fantastic links and support from big names, increasing their knowledgeable profiles in the music industry very successfully. While the powerful voice of Chris Perkins shines through in the hardcore track, some of the other album’s songs are more toned down, such as ‘Open Road’ and ‘Emily and Alick’, which shows that the band can achieve every angle in the music business to be successful.

The passionate hard-rock band These Raven Skies have produced an atmospheric and powerful album full of personal and emotional passion and hardcore music. Already their name places a significant image in our minds, making them easily memorable, and their professional musical links (such as Jeff Martin and Scott Weiland) make them stand suitably out from the hard-rock genre crowd. The care placed into the album’s songs- particularly ‘No Need To Worry’ demonstrates their determined ‘hands on’ approach to producing their music, showing their grit to do well that will shine brightly toward their future. Their energy and defined stage presence has been pummelled into many successful live performances, such as for festivals in their hometown. A clever and heavy album, These Raven Skies will be loved by all hard-rock fans.
